born in peterborough to arthur barker and fia dellucci, zach found himself to be living quite the miserable life. between his parents arguing, him not fitting in at school and bullying, he relied on isolation to maintain his sanity. at thirteen years old, he'd go on to meet wren fletcher, a student from canada who'd since moved to peterborough. the two became best friends.at fifteen, zach meets emma chamberlain, who becomes his girlfriend. a cruel prank is played on zach by emma and her friends, pushing him to torment and blackmail her into taking her own life. after, he suffered extensive intrusive thoughts and would go on to plan and commit his first murder, harrison gains. after harrison's death, zach was plagued by his secret and decided to tell his mother. this led to him discovering she'd also taken her own life, having struggled with a deep depression.alone, zach pulled away from his friendship with wren and further isolated himself, struggling with his father's wrath. he went on to kill a further two individuals before securing his driving licence and a way out of peterborough. leaving wren behind, he proceeded to travel from place to place, meeting new individuals and carrying out more kills.he became a photojournalist, working as a freelancer or for papers, writing about the murders he'd committed. when the heat became too much, he moved and started anew. zach takes on a persona to commit his kills, donning a mask with a jaw painted on it, a rain poncho and cap, and running clothes.

zach has narcissistic personality disorder. he has created and idealises a grandiose image of himself in order to avoid deep feelings of insecurity. being a trauma-related disorder, zach suffered neglect and abuse from caregivers throughout his childhood and his npd has been allowed to go unchecked, unhelped and has led to zach experiencing extreme and immense delusions at times. the disorder can be exhibited by him through a pattern of self-centred, arrogant thinking & behaviour, a lack of empathy & a lack of consideration for other people.maintaining this false reality, façade and delusions can take a lot of work, time and energy. the real & forced or imagined facing of that reality can cause zach to be volatile, quick-changing and emotionally unstable. npd impacts zach in every aspect of his life, leading to feelings of intense shame, insecurity, emptiness, loneliness and isolation.along with this, he has a severe fear of abandonment which can prompt threats and aggressive behaviour. he also has obsessive compulsive disorder, connecting to the anxiety of abandonment, meaning specific tasks will take place due to recurring intrusive thoughts in order to distract himself. some intrusive thoughts are misconstrued as genuine desire / intention, prompting feelings of confusion, guilt and anger.zach struggles with losing control in any context, which is why he’s developed such a deep connection with passion as a persona. it allows him to maintain or regain control. this interconnects with his need to kill. a form of totally regaining power and control, by manipulating someone else’s life to the fullest extent. zach also has an attachment disorder ( reactive ), due to childhood neglect / trauma, which causes him to have difficulty forming relationships and furthers his emotional dysregulation.killing has become addictive, something zach doesn’t feel he can go without, as it’s the only coping mechanism he’s learned. there’s order, comfort and safety to be found in the entire process of stalking and killing. a purpose he can focus on. one he’s morbidly skilled at.zach also has c-ptsd due to childhood trauma and is on the autism spectrum.DRUG USE.
